📖 Storyline

A film inspired by a series of registered cases of exorcism in Spain. Laura is a 16-year-old girl repressed by her environment, with her parents being Tomás, a soft man with no character, and Carmen, a Catholic fanatic who believes in a punishing God and who constantly pressures both Laura and her brother Jesús to keep praying. On Halloween night, Laura sneaks away from home to go to a party with classmate Mireia. But things take a dark turn when they end up in an abandoned building with a disturbing past. The girls and two boys they know from school hold a séance to summon a murderous spirit, which seems to affect Laura in an unusual way. As the days go by, the young girl, between the strict rules imposed by her mother and the strange and vivid visions that plague her, thinks that God is punishing her for performing a profane act. Is she going crazy? Must she somehow pay for her sins? Or is she possessed by the devil? The only person who could not only answer these questions, but also put an end to the ordeal is Father Olmedo, one of the 15 priests authorized by the Vatican to perform exorcisms in Spain.
